1/10 - QUOTES ON FABRIC SERIES: PART IV
And here are yet more of these fabric-based pieces. They vary in size from 8x8, 12x10, 12x12 and 12x15 inches.

I really really like working with fabric, and I like silk-screening on fabric even more. These creations are a result of those interests. I printed the white pattern on the fabric, sewed on other fabric elements, stretched that over 1/2 inch masonite, and then painted on the text.

2/10 - MONSTERS: A COLLABORATION WITH CHIKA ANDO
SIx paintings done collaborativley with my good friend and talented artist, CHIKA ANDO for a show called Ampersand 3 at the Untitle Artist's Satellite Gallery in Calgary. The drawings for the paintings were done together with each of us beginning a monster and then switching drawings numerous times until we agreed it was finished. Then we collectively chose the medium and colours and each painted three of the chosen drawings. What a fun project! Pure imagination!
